PinPointers for Metal Detecting : In certain circumstances while metal detecting, a PINPOINTER can save you time and energy. I find the Pinpointer most useful when I am plucking shallow targets. Since the range of an average pin pointer is around two inches, it lets you know you are close. This keeps the holes smaller on shallow targets two inches or less.
A Pinpointer is sometimes called a "Target Probe" or "Vibra Probe". Meaning they have the option to vibrate instead of sounding off.
